How to choose quality telescope eyepiece one at a budget?
My main interest is in global vision. I have a 5 " aperture, focal length 1000 mm, under the Newtonian reflector. I prefer the picture quality then the distance from the eye. I am interested in 4 mm, 6 mm, 12mm, 40mm and optics. At least, with special attention to changing lenses is also important. I'm looking in the eyes of less than $ 100 each, for now. What manufacturers and brands series, and the types best suited to my needs? Why are the best for my needs? On the other hand, is the Celestron accessory worth buying the kit: I found with some useful features # Eyepiece_designs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthoscopic_Eyepiece and found that I like the Celestron Ultima Online X-Cel (http://www.celestron.com/c2/category.php?CatID = 37), which can be purchased at great price ($ 62 each) with www.telescopes.com
Injanier and gave an excellent response, and I agree with everything he said. Addition orthoscopics recommended, I would recommend Orion and Tele Vue Ultrascopics Plössls. The latter are very reasonable and much better quality than generic sell all Chinese Plössls. Celestron kit is a waste of money. The eyepieces are second class, and the filters are not much use. Instead it has a couple of glasses of good quality and will be much happier. With fingers, I recommend somewhere around 5 to 6 mm, giving 167X to 200X, an expansion good for planets. If the distance is short eye a problem, or go to a Barlow lens and an eyepiece 10 to 12 mm, or watch Orion Stratus series, which offer an excellent qulaitity, wide field of view and eye relief long. Be sure to get a decent Barlow, as the Orion Shorty Plus or Tele Vue Barlows as the most desired.
